In view of the ischemic myocardium in a variety of lysophosphatidic acid or cAMP accumulation and cardiac electrophysiological function is closely related. Therefore, the authors believe that lysophosphatidylcholine may increase cAMP in ischemic myocardium by stimulating adenylate cyclase. Accordingly, the authors examined the effects of lysolecithin (hereinafter referred to as LPC) accumulation on adenylate cyclase and phosphodiesterase activity in fragmented cell samples and their effect on cAMP content in isolated perfused rabbit hearts.
