The Russian market full of temptations and traps is a gamble for Chinese traders. In early February 2004, the Chinese merchant goods were seized and taken away by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow’s “Amira” trade market. Chinese businessmen suffered serious losses, which are estimated to reach 10 million U.S. dollars. The matter has aroused close attention of all parties, but it has not been satisfactorily resolved. The reporter learned from the Ministry of Commerce that the Ministry of Commerce will send a working group led by a deputy minister in April to hold discussions with Russia on the relevant matters. This is the first time that Bo Xilai took up the post of Minister of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce sent overseas delegations to solve the trade issue.
