Many trace elements have varying degrees of lipid metabolism, which in turn lead to atherosclerosis. Copper, zinc and magnesium have an important influence on the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis through the influence on enzymes related to lipid peroxidation and their anti-oxidative effects respectively. However, the interaction between calcium and lipid metabolism is causal and atherosclerosis The formation of calcium mineral salts is the process of absorption and deposition. Calcium promotes the development of atherosclerosis by mediating the platelet aggregation, smooth muscle cell proliferation and cholesterol deposition. And the above-mentioned trace elements on the impact of atherosclerosis is not independent, but co-exist, interact.
