山楂原产我国,约有3,000多年的栽培历史。据现有资料记载,山楂属植物在全世界约有近千种,广泛分布于北温带各地,但多属于野生种,栽培品种很少。苏、美各国栽培的山楂,多由我国引入,仅做为研究试材或点缀在庭园内供观赏用,生产面积不大。本世纪五十年代以后,由于山楂在入药和加工方面有了新发现,引起了有关部门的重视。七十年代中期,山楂的用途越来越广,山楂生产才有所发展。我国山楂年产量5万吨左右,商品基地主要分布在北方各省,按自然区域大体上可分;(一)太行山区:包括河南省中北部和山西省中南部;(二)胶东半岛区:包括山
