The head of the rat was shielded with a lead shield, and the midline tissue dose at the shield site was 40% of that of the unshielded group. The experiment was divided into two parts: (1) The influence of the head shield on the incapacity of general working ability after irradiation was observed. 62 rats were irradiated with 300 and 400 Gy, respectively. The head-shielded group was significantly shorter than the corresponding whole body irradiation group in the early transient disability time and the onset time of permanent disability period was significantly delayed. The incidence of violent activities after 400 Gy irradiation (2) The effect of head mask on the disability of senior neural activity (memory ability) after irradiation was observed by the method of labyrinthine.Among them, 26 rats were irradiated with 200 and 100 Gy respectively, The reduction of correct rate, prolongation of reaction and the extent of false reaction were significantly reduced compared with the corresponding whole body irradiation group, thus significantly reducing the severity of early temporary disability and significantly delayed the start of permanent total disability. The results show that a 60% reduction in midline dose of the head shield significantly protects general work ability after sublethal irradiation and disability of advanced neural activity.
