该文原载于1983年第4期《农业工程》(本刊原用名)。文章发表后,对我国的畜力开发研究——赫牛挽具改革起到了极大的推动作用,一些报刊陆续做了报道,福建、湖北、浙江等省相继组织研制,且前挽具改革已初见成效。最近,该文又荣获第二届全国优秀科普作品一等奖。现将全文重新发表以飨读者;以期促进耕牛挽具改革继续向深广发展。顾老这篇文章,生动而有力地告诉我们,仅改良一下水牛的挽具,即可提高其牵引力24%,提高其功率48%。这是多么可观的数字!但长期以来,我们忽视了“畜力”的开发研究,这不能不说是一大失策。愿广大有志之士,迅速抓起这项重大课题,为振兴农业作出贡献。本刊热诚欢迎大家及时写稿、交流。
