几乎所有的现代批评大家都反复教育读者要先信任作者,先怀抱热爱,才能有所收获;几乎所有现代批评杰作都是对优异的辨识、召唤、理解乃至欲求。但回到当代中国文学的具体境遇中,一个怀揣这样批评教养的阅读者,往往会陷入某种由热诚、焦灼和愤懑所构成的困境中,他尝试怀抱热爱,但每每失望;他企图发掘优异,但触目处皆是平庸;甚至,他沮丧地见到,假想某位当代中国作家及其作品具有多种实际上并不具有的美好,已经成为时下诸多所谓文学批评家
