Where do the origins of the human ancestors come from? A widely accepted view of the world is that the earliest human ancestors originated in Africa 2 million to 4 million years ago. However, this view has now been questioned. The scientific papers published by the Chinese and American scientists in the UK’s authoritative scientific journal Natural published in March 2000 announced that they have proved through researches on the Chinese sturgeon and Century footbone fossils found in Liyang, Jiangsu Province and Shanxi Hengqu. The origin of higher primates is likely to be in China. Paleontologists Qi Tao and Wang Jingwen from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Kirby and Walder, professors of anatomy at the University of Northern Illinois, participated in the study.
