牛膝为苋科植物牛膝 (ＡｃｈｙｒａｎｔｈｅｓｂｉｄｅｎｔａｔａＢＬ )干燥根。牛膝生品长于活血祛瘀 ,引血下行 ;酒炙后增强活血祛瘀 ,通经止痛的作用 ;盐炙后引药入肾 ,增强补肝肾、强筋骨的作用[1] 。所用炮制方法多为炙法。《中国药典》2 0 0 0年版牛膝炮制项下也为酒炙法 Achyranthes is the dry root of Achyranthes bidentata BL.
