新中国成立后,以熊十力、梁漱溟为代表的大陆新儒家,试图从传统文化精神中汲取思想资源,诠释对社会主义新中国的认识,但两人的观点又有分歧,对他们的思想进行辨析表明,熊十力更注重对社会主义建设秩序即儒家“外王”探讨,梁漱溟则强调社会主义无产阶级革命精神对人心“内圣”的激发。这种“内圣”与“外王”之争,彰显出两人各自融贯“道统”与“治统”以传承中华优秀传统文化的强烈自觉,也为当前加快构建反映中国特色、民族特性、时代特征的社会主义核心价值体系提供了有益借鉴。
