本研究就英语专业四级考试(新题型)对学习动机的反拨作用对大二和大三英语专业学生进行了问卷调查和访谈。调查结果表明,英语专业四级考试(新题型)对英语专业学生的学习动机有正面的反拨作用,其中对外在动机、工具型动机和学习行为的促进作用尤为明显。英语专业四级考试(新题型)在促进学生的融合性动机方面不甚理想,对学生心理行为的消极影响处于一个相对可以接受的范围,其作为考试的特定地位也决定了此结果。同时,学生对于内在动机和总体认知这两方面的反馈不明显,反拨作用在此两方面的影响较小。最后笔者提出促进英语专业四级考试(新题型)对学习动机产生正面反拨作用的建议,并剖析了本研究的局限性。
This study conducted a questionnaire and interviews with sophomores and seniors English majors on the backwash effect of English Majors Level 4 (new type) on learning motivation. The results of the survey show that the fourth test of English major (new type) has a positive counterproductive effect on the motivation of English majors, especially for extrinsic motivation, instrumental motivation and learning behavior. The English Majors Level 4 (new type) is less than ideal in promoting students ’motivation for fusion, and has a relatively acceptable negative impact on students’ psychological behaviors. The specific status of the test also determines the result. At the same time, students’ feedback on intrinsic motivation and overall cognition is not obvious, and the effect of backwashing is less affected by these two aspects. Finally, I put forward the suggestion of promoting the positive counter-dialing effect of the English test level four (the new type), and analyze the limitations of this study.
