The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of fenvalerate exposure on the spatial learning and memory of middle-aged CD-1 mice. The spatial learning and memory ability of 13-month-old CD-1 mice in control group exposed to fenvalerate during embryogenesis and exposed to emulsion was detected by six-arm radial water maze task. The results showed that the number of errors and latency in the fenvalerate group were significantly higher than those in the control group during the learning and memory phases of the radial water maze task (Ps <0.05). Therefore, exposure to fenvalerate during embryogenesis accelerated the appearance of age-related decline in spatial learning and memory in middle-aged CD-1 mice.
