Transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) is widely used in the non-surgical treatment of liver cancer. Conventional TAE can not cause complete necrosis of tumor tissue. Repeated TAE treatment can also damage liver function. The segmental arterial chemoembolization is a new technique developed on the basis of TAE. It is well known that except for the primary hepatic arterial blood supply, hepatic cancer receives partial supply of portal vein branches and bile duct vascular plexus, and the purpose of chemoembolization in the hepatic artery is At the same time, various blood vessels around the tumor tissue are closed. We report the preliminary experience of 12 patients with liver cancer undergoing chemoembolization in the segmental arteries, focusing on the discussion of intubation techniques, indications, and applied theories.
