我国正处于城市化发展由“起步”向“加速”转换的关键时期，小城镇建设问题将成为一段时间内我国社会、经济、科技、文化发展的核心内容。发展小城镇是一个关系到我国城市化、工业化和可持续发展的大战略。本文通过对我国小城镇建设重要意义的阐述，讨论我国当前城市化发展时期小城镇建设所面对的问题，思考解决的途径。
Our country is in the critical period of the transition from “starting” to “accelerating” in urbanization, and the issue of small town construction will become the core content of our social, economic, scientific and technological and cultural development for a period of time. The development of small towns is a grand strategy concerning the urbanization, industrialization and sustainable development of our country. This article elaborates the significance of the construction of small cities and towns in our country, discusses the problems that the small cities and towns in the current period of urbanization in our country face, and the ways of thinking and solving.
