经文献研究和实地考察,对海巴戟(Morinda citrifolia)在萨摩亚(西波里尼西亚)传统医学中的应用进行了探讨。自十九世纪以来,该植物就被萨摩亚民间医学用于治疗多种疾病,其中包括腹泻、肠寄生虫、胃疾患等消化道疾病;咳嗽、肺部感染、结核等呼吸道疾病;结膜炎、咽喉炎、扁桃体炎、牙痛、皮肤感染、脓肿、外伤等等。作者列举了治疗不同疾病的不同植物药用部位以及不同的服药方法。海巴戟果实具有抗枯草杆菌、伤寒沙门菌、副痢疾志贺杆菌等多种抗菌作用。该植物的主要成分为吡喃葡糖、己酸、辛酸、蒽醌及茜素等等。
Through literature studies and field trips, the use of Morinda citrifolia in traditional medicine in Samoa (Western Polynesia) was discussed. Since the 19th century, the plant has been used by Samoan folk medicine to treat a variety of diseases, including gastrointestinal diseases such as diarrhea, intestinal parasites, and stomach disorders; respiratory diseases such as cough, lung infection, and tuberculosis; conjunctivitis, Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, toothache, skin infections, abscesses, trauma, etc. The authors listed different medicinal sites for different diseases and different methods of medication. Morinda citrifolia fruit has antibacterial effects against Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella typhi, and Shigella spp. The main components of the plant are glucopyranose, caproic acid, octanoic acid, quinones and alfalfa and the like.
