受应试教育制度的影响,在现在的初中英语教学中,教师把教学重点都放在了词汇和语法上面,而忽视了对学生综合素质的培养。学生一味地通过背诵单词、语法知识以及做大量的习题来学习英语,这样做虽然会使学生在考试中取得好的成绩,但也导致了学生“开口难”。为改变这一现实,笔者尝试用翻译教学突破这一教学瓶颈。学习英语的根本目的是能与他人进行友好的交流,而不仅仅是为了高分。作为教师,在注重学生分数的同时,也应该关注学生的英语综合素质,培养他们开口说英语的能力。翻译作为既能培养学生能力,又能提高其成绩的 Under the influence of the examination-oriented education system, in the current junior high school English teaching, teachers focus their teaching on vocabulary and grammar while ignoring the cultivation of students’ overall quality.
