The suxface and interface between anodic oxide film and aluminum substratehave been studied by AES、 HREM and TEM. The anodic oxide filin of aldrinum formdin sulfuric acid electrolyte has porous structuxe and the main composition is amorphousAl2O3, the sulfate ealsts in the whole film, and enriches between cells of the fllm. Thereis a transition layer (thickness: ~ 6 nm), which consists of okides and aluminm ionbetween anodic okide film and aluminum substrate. The presence of tlils transition layercauses the expansion of the interface and increases the adhesion strength between anodicoxide film and aluminum substrate.
