在淮北平原的淮阳、沈丘、项城、郸城等10多个县内繁育着一种优良的山羊品种,其中心产地在淮阳县鲁台镇的倒栽槐和沈丘县的槐店镇,故此得名“槐山羊”。并于1982年被中国农牧渔业部命名为地方优良山羊品种。槐山羊外貌特征为:体格中等,体质壮实,结构匀称。头大小适中,面似三角形,鼻稍隆起,分有角和无角两种。耳直竖且灵活,直须,双目有神,颈粗稍短。前躯较宽,腰背平直,肋骨开张,中躯呈圆筒形,肌肉发育良好,后躯肌肉发达丰满,尾稍尖而上翘。四肢有力,蹄质坚硬,行动敏捷。毛细而匀,纯白毛占95％左右。槐山羊平均身高71.89厘米,体重38.54公斤。槐山羊为早熟品种,正常情况下,母羊可一年两
