This paper argues that there are three groups of contradictions in the teaching of ancient Chinese for normal majors: the contradiction between the teaching objective of ancient Chinese curriculum and the current situation of students ’learning; the contradiction between the provisions on the business indicators of teachers and the actual level of business of primary and secondary school teachers taught by Teachers’ Chinese Teaching Mode, Methodology and New Age Requirements, Contradictions in Contemporary Students’ Needs. Therefore, it is proposed to reform the ancient Chinese curriculum in all respects from the aspects of teaching objectives, teaching contents, teaching modes and methods, as well as the evaluation of learning effects.
