1992年6月30日,菲德尔·拉莫斯当选为菲律宾第八任总统。菲律宾的此次政权更替被国内外分析家们普遍看成是菲律宾经济在90年代复兴的希望所在。然而,菲律宾在政治经济体制上所积存的种种弊端,又对菲律宾经济复兴提出了严峻的挑战。唯有执行适宜于本国的经济发展战略,推行政治经济改革,才是拉莫斯政府期望振兴菲律宾经济的正确抉择。
On June 30, 1992, Fidel Ramos was elected as the eighth President of the Philippines. The Philippine regime change is widely viewed by domestic and foreign analysts as the hope for the Philippine economy to rejuvenate in the 1990s. However, the various shortcomings accumulated by the Philippines in the political and economic system have posed severe challenges to the Philippine economic renaissance. Only by implementing the economic development strategy suitable for our own country and implementing the political and economic reforms is the correct choice for the Ramos government looking forward to rejuvenating the Philippine economy.
