在南湖相传的“翠云茶”,一九八三年经南湖茶林场部分干部和茶叶科技人员的研究、追索,开始恢复试产。这种茶叶失传历史已久,且数量微少。但自古以来,南湖丹山一带,群众提起“翠云茶”,如数家珍。为使名茶恢复生产,我们根据老茶农的讲述,进行了多方面的考查,结果如下: 一、翠云茶的由来:翠云茶历史悠久,据传出自“南漪湖”(南湖)傍的汪棚及丹山石板路一带。早先由尼僧及乡民经营。茶叶在清明前后采摘,采取炒、焙、烘的方式制作,成茶后泡杯中汤色翠绿,揭杯盖茶叶上浮下跳,有龙凤呈祥之势,云雾潦绕之状,香气馥郁。较龙井不扁而园直,比毛峰
