Fiber-reinforced concrete can compensate for the brittleness of general concrete. The United States, Britain, the Soviet Union, Japan and other countries have conducted a lot of research and application. The fibers used may be steel fibers, glass fibers, carbon fibers, polyethylene fibers, polypropylene fibers or even stainless steel fibers. The above fibers having a length of 60 mm or less are uniformly stirred and mixed in the concrete, and the construction can be performed by a general method. This concrete has the advantages of good resistance to cracking, high impact resistance, prolonged aging time, and excellent fire resistance (except for synthetic resin fibers). It can be used for tunnels, underground power stations, and wall surfaces washed by water. It can also be used as prefabricated components of buildings. To make it universal, it is important to reduce costs.
