本文给出了一次袭击珠江口三角洲地区强风暴潮过程的数值预报和模拟结果。结果表明模式对强台风风暴潮有相当强的预报能力。作者指出局地地形对风暴潮影响的重要性，并展望了未来数值预报技术的发展前景。
This paper presents a numerical prediction and simulation of a strong storm surges striking the Pearl River Delta. The results show that the model has a fairly good ability of forecasting strong typhoon storm surges. The author points out the importance of local topography to the impact of storm surges and looks forward to the future development of numerical prediction techniques.
