BL/VL_3照射激活的白血病病毒(Rad LV)是一种嗜胸腺、高度致白血病的鼠白血病病毒(MuLV)。该病毒不能在鼠成纤维细胞培养中增殖,既往研究表明其增殖受阻与该病毒基因组中长末端重复序列(LTR)U_3区有关。作者通过对该病毒增殖周期每一阶段的具体研究证明:在非容许细胞(SIM.R成纤维细胞)内,病毒基因组的整合、转录及翻译过程均正常,而且其Pr65gag蛋白(P_(30)蛋白前体)豆蔻酸酯化及在膜上定位(该过程对病毒包膜形成及病毒体的装配是必需的)亦正常。然而,其Pr85~(env)蛋白(gp~(70)的前体)的加工过程缺失。测定逆转录酶活性及P30或gP70病毒蛋白含量表明:病毒不能释放到培养液中;电镜观察亦证实细胞表面仅有极少
BL / VL_3 irradiation-activated leukemia virus (Rad LV) is athymic, highly leukemic murine leukemia virus (MuLV). The virus can not proliferate in murine fibroblast cell culture. Previous studies showed that its inhibition of proliferation was related to U3 region of the long terminal repeat (LTR) in the genome of the virus. Through the specific study of each stage of the virus’s proliferation cycle, the author verified that the integration, transcription and translation of the virus genome were normal in the non-permissive cells (SIM.R fibroblasts), and the Pr65gag protein (P_ (30) Protein precursor) Myristic acid esterification and positioning on the membrane (this process is necessary for viral envelope formation and virion assembly) is also normal.
