Twentieth-century German theater emerged with two influential representatives to Europe and the world. One was Friedrich Wolfe (1888-1953) and the second was Bertolt Brecht (1898-1956). Both of these dramatists are outstanding literary and art warriors of the German working class, fighting for the same purpose for a lifetime in the theater and making an important contribution to German theater.
