在一定的温度和应变条件下,超塑性金属的行为与热塑性塑料的很相象。因为超塑性金属的变形应用低,又有很高的拉伸塑性,所以可利用与热塑性塑料真空成型法相似的工艺,即采用空气压力能将其薄板制成种种形状复杂的零件。超塑性合金的特点,一是对变形能力的应变率很敏感,二是不易产生局部变形(缩颈),因此,可用各种精密成型法控制薄板零件的厚度,加工出各种各样的形态比高的与形状复杂的零件。
