现代化社会所具有的价值标准、行为模式,对经历了种种磨难的我们而言,不可谓不是一套既熟悉又陌生的生命范式,我们的生命需要彰显出必要的时代张力以适应其要求。但是,现代性社会所衍生出来的工具性、封闭性、虚无性等异化性特点,也使人的生命涂上了时代的阴影,饱受世人诟病。作为一个“后发外生型”的现代化进程,如何建立能应对现代性社会的生命,这不但是学者们普遍关心的理论问题,也是每一个人沉思的现实问题,它的意义不仅在于能生活于其中,而且能够矫正现代性社会的不足。为此,对源于西方社会的现代性生命问题,我们已经进行了大量对话。可是,这种对话自五四运动以降仍显现出重重矛盾,以自由主义为先导的西方现代性生命观能否在中国真正生根、发芽、结果,则是一个值得商榷的问题。从20世纪以后世界的发展格局来看,各国发展模式应该是多元化的,东亚现代化后发性地区和国家基本都是站在自身位置去吸收发展西方的自由主义精髓,建立了与之相适应的生命哲学。因此,对于中国大陆的生命教育问题,我们也需要实现儒家与现代性的对话。国家社会科学基金“十一五”规划课题“道德教育视域中的高校生命教育研究”(课题编号:BEA080084)课题组针对此问题,分别从生命的价值观、社会观、个体观以及权利和发展动力观等四个方面,促使儒家与现代生命进行对话,这对构建适合国人的生命观具有较大的启发意义。
The values and modes of behavior that modern societies have are not only a set of paradigms of life both familiar and unfamiliar to us who have experienced all kinds of hardships. Our life needs to highlight the necessary tension in the times to meet its own requirements. However, the heterogeneous nature of instrumental, closed and nothingness derived from the modern society also casts the shadow of the times on people’s lives and has been criticized by the world. It is not only the theoretical issues that scholars generally care about, but also the practical problems that everybody contemplates, and it is not only the significance of the modernization of the post-exogenous genocide but also the creation of a life that can deal with the modern society. Can live in it, and can correct the deficiencies of modern society. For this reason, we have had a great deal of dialogues on the question of modern life stemming from Western society. However, this dialogue still shows a great deal of contradictions since the May Fourth Movement, and whether liberalism-led modern Western life outlook can really take root, sprout or result in China is a question worth discussing. Judging from the development pattern of the world after the 20th century, the patterns of development in various countries should be diversified. The post-modernization regions and countries in East Asia are basically in their own place to absorb and develop the essence of western liberalism and establish a Life philosophy. Therefore, we also need to achieve a dialogue between Confucianism and modernity on the issue of life education in mainland China. It impels Confucianism to talk with modern life, which is of great enlightenment for building a life outlook suitable for Chinese.
