The influence of heating temperature and holding time on mechanical properties of adding rare earth low chromium semi-steel was studied by means of metallographic, scanning electron microscopic examination and mechanical property test. The experiments results show that heating temperature and holding time have great effect on impact toughness and bending fatigue, but little effect on hardness. When the specimen was hold at 960 ℃ for 3 h, the better comprehensive mechanical properties was obtained. In addition, the coordinated effect of rare earth and heat treatment was also discussed.
