I. Shortage of funds, plaguing the development of machinery industry Machinery industry is one of the pillar industries of Shaanxi’s economy and has a good foundation. It has initially formed two regional machinery industrial bases in Guanzhong and Hanzhong. From the perspective of products, the overwhelming majority are for basic industries and infrastructure such as energy, transportation and raw material industries. Since the reform and opening up, Shaanxi’s machinery industry has made rapid development, but it still has a big gap compared with other industries in the country, mainly due to the slow pace of economic development.
