光合细菌(photosyntheticbacteria)是一种能以光作为能源,以二氧化碳或有机物作为碳源而营养繁殖的微生物。光合细菌最大的特点是将一些水产养殖水域中的有害物质如氨、亚硝酸、硫化氢等加以利用,作为其生长过程中不可缺少的营养物质,而使光合细菌本身大量繁殖。这样,养殖水域得到净化,正常生态平衡得以维持在换水条件差、水质污染严重的养殖水域,施用光合细菌效果更为显著。
