In her pictures, a Little girl in red coat and green trousers always appears together with a small black dog, which is the memory of her childhood.The small dog kept by Sheng Keyi's parents in her hometown died when it was six months old due to eating poison by mistake. She misses the dog, so she painted it in pictures to accompany the little girl to see Lotus pool by covering a Lotus Leaf on head,to pick fruits,to count piglets and to return her hometown in pictures.
"My hometown and childhood provide me a steady flow of writing materials. But some people are still in the village,while some have gone to big cities." said Sheng Keyi.This book shows her beautiful memory of hometown. "Children can read fun and adults can read sadness."
