目前我国的英语教学片面强调语言的工具性,过于关注听、说、读、写的语言技能的培养,忽视了培养学生文化意识的重要性。语言是文化的载体,语言的学习必须关注知识背后承载的文化内涵。英语教学要融入文化背景、文化差异、文化思想、文化价值观等,以提高学生的文化敏感性和包容性,从而培养学生的文化意识。本文旨在从培养文化意识的理论根源入手,论述文化意识对于语言学习的重要性,在此基础上从文化回应性教学的角度提出培养学生文化意识的具体途径。
At present, the English teaching in our country emphasizes the instrumentalism of language one-sidedly. It pays too much attention to the cultivation of language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, ignoring the importance of cultivating students’ cultural awareness. Language is the carrier of culture. Language learning must focus on the cultural connotations behind the knowledge. English teaching should integrate cultural background, cultural differences, cultural thoughts, cultural values and so on, in order to enhance students ’cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness so as to cultivate students’ cultural awareness. The purpose of this article is to start with the theoretical source of cultivating cultural awareness, discussing the importance of cultural awareness in language learning, and on this basis, to put forward specific ways to cultivate students’ cultural awareness from the perspective of culturally responsive teaching.
