In May 1996, the Fengnan Brewery signed a well drilling contract with the drilling team of the Tangshan City Water Supply Company’s diversified operating companies. The total construction cost was 128,259.42 yuan. The construction started 72 days without the approval of the Water Resources Bureau. The well depth is 160. 5m. In April 1997, the brewery filed a civil lawsuit in the Fengnan City Court due to the high sand content of the well water and could not meet the water requirement.
