俑,古时用以殉葬的偶人,一般为木制或陶制。孔子日:“始作俑者,其无后乎?为其象人而用之也。”①我国古代以俑陪葬的习俗始于春秋,滥觞于战国,而于秦汉时期开始盛行。战国时期,俑见于齐、三晋(韩、魏、赵)、周、秦、楚诸国。其中,楚墓多用木俑随葬,而齐、韩、秦墓等多用陶俑。西汉的前期,俑多发现在当时文化中心区大中型墓葬中,以西安、徐州附近的考古发现为主。
Figurines, dolls used to sacrifice in ancient times, usually wood or pottery. Confucius Day: “The originator of its use is also its image.” "① The ancient custom of figurining in our country started in the Spring and Autumn Period, beginning in the Warring States Period, and prevailed in the Qin and Han dynasties. During the Warring States Period, figurines see Qi, San Jin (Han, Wei, Zhao), Zhou, Qin, Chu countries. Among them, Chu tombs are mostly buried with figurines, while Qi, Han, Qin tombs and other multi-purpose figurines. Early Western Han Dynasty, figurines and more found in the cultural center of the large and medium-sized tombs to Xi’an, Xuzhou near the main archaeological findings.
