On the tightening sentences, the grammatical community is full of controversy, which brings certain difficulties to grammar teaching. Some people claim that the deflationary sentence is a single sentence. Some people think that it is a complex sentence. Some people think that it is neither a single sentence nor a complex sentence, but a special sentence pattern. Some people think that there are both contractions and contractions in the deflationary sentence. We think that we must first unify our views if we want to unify our understanding of the austerity sentences. First, insist on the dichotomy of the sentence, the sentence sub-sentence and complex sentence. Do not set up a separate portrayal of contractions outside of a single complex sentence. Second, tightening sentences can only belong to a single sentence or complex sentence, can not “ride a wall”, that is, can not be both a single sentence, but also a complex sentence.
