飞行试验是在真实飞行条件下进行的科学研究和产品试验。现代飞机的飞行试验是一项复杂的系统工程,它具有探索性强、风险性大、集成度高等诸多的技术难点,而试飞行业本身也发展为集科学探索、应用研究、工程发展、产品鉴定和使用效能评定于一体,支撑航空工业发展的综合性行业。试飞既是探索航空新概念、新理论,突破关键技术,验证关键系统的重要手段,也是为新机投产提供决策依据的重要验证过程和为新机投入使用摸索经验的必经途径。这一环节贯穿于航空基础研究、应用技术研究、先期技术发展、型号工程研制和用户使用验证的全过程。为了让行业内外的人士进一步深入理解试飞的概念和作用,了解试飞技术的发展和试飞员队伍的培养过程,以及我国试飞人为航空工业发展所做出的不懈努力,本刊将从本期起连续介绍飞行试验的方方面面,以飨读者。
