新艺术运动被普遍看做是一个新时代的开端,与现代主义建筑的发展有着密切的联系。但其对新时代和现代主义具体提供了哪些影晌并没有统一的答案。本论文通过重新看待新艺术运动在建立国际语境,探讨整体艺术=摒弃历史主义、初探抽象表现语言等几个方面的贡献、将新艺术运动实践对于“现代主义建筑中装饰的去除”这一重要历史进程的明确的以及隐含的推动力加以呈现。本文在这个观察和分析的过程中试图展现艺术与建筑的发展过程中对于历史可能存在着两种批判继承的途径:一是继承并发展经前人总结和明确的思想成果;二是抛开思想的结论性描述,通过对历史中客观发生过的实践进行观察以获取启发自己的营养。
Art Nouveau is universally regarded as the beginning of a new era and closely linked to the development of modernist architecture. However, there is no unified answer to the questions that the New Times and Modernism have provided. By revisiting the contribution of the Art Nouveau in establishing the international context, discussing the whole art = abandoning the historicism and exploring the abstract expression language, this dissertation puts the practice of Art Nouveau in the “removal of decoration in modernist architecture” The clear and implicit driving force of this important historical process is presented. In the course of this observation and analysis, this article attempts to show that there are two ways of critical succession in the development of art and architecture: one is to inherit and develop the predecessors’ summary and clear ideological achievements; the other is to abandon the thought Of the conclusive description, through the history of the objective occurred in the practice observed in order to obtain inspiration for their own nutrition.
