日前,有重庆的网友在微博上报料称,中国电信私自为用户宽带续约两年,想停还停不了。针对该情况,《消费电子》杂志记者联系了报料人王先生。据介绍,王先生于2013年9月办理了中国电信每月68元的宽带套餐,该套餐价格较低遂限定需连续使用一年,于是王先生签订了一年的协议,按月缴费。宽带合约期满后,王先生决定不再继续使用此宽带,却意外地发现网络并未被停用。经查询,原来电信某营业厅已为其办理续约,而且是续约两年。
