１９９０年４月７日２１点３０分，在中国西南边陲的西昌卫星发射中心，我国的长征三号运载火箭首次为外国发射卫星，一们欢呼跳跃，笑声、掌声、鞭炮声久久回荡在大凉山谷。江总书记、李鹏总理的电话祝贺，以及接着传来的人们正盼望的小平同志的祝贺，使当时指挥大厅里的热烈气氛达到了最高潮。这一天，我国的长征火箭撞开了世界大门，开始走向世界。
