MRI is often used to diagnose cases of suspicious appendicitis - the most common emergency medical procedure for pregnant women, but it is also important to look for diseases that may cause abdominal pain other than appendicitis. From the United States Brown University School of Medicine, Women and Children’s Hospital and other scholars in March and April Radiographics Magazine reported the application of MRI in the assessment of abdominal pain in pregnant women. In addition, the authors also: (1) show normal pelvic anatomy of pregnant women by multi-planar MRI imaging; (2) summarize the MRI findings of acute appendicitis in pregnant women; (3) discuss various other types of appendicitis except appendicitis
