中央作出了普及九年制义务教育的决定,这是十分有远见的英明决策。目前,我们这个贵阳市的郊区小学生入学率已达93%左右,距普及初等教育也不远了。可是,普及不应仅仅是个量的问题,也要讲点质。从质上看,我们就很不理想了。最近,我查了全区十五所(全区共十六所中学)中学,1985年初中一年级的录取起分线,除一所重点中学(省重点)是143.5分外,其余的录取分数线为:113、75、92、87、56、80、85、100、72、45、44、67、48、90。十五所学校平均是79.8分。按两科计算,平均每科最高是71.8分、最低是22分、平均39.9分。这样低的成绩,又怎么会不影响到中等教育的质量。根据当前我们区小学的质量情况以及全区师资力量,普及九年制义务教育一定要稳步前进,实事求是;条件成熟一所就办一所,不能一刀切。否则,拔苗助长,有量无质,徒具空名。
