21世纪,文化实力成为衡量地域综合实力的重要指标。为加快推进黔西南州安龙县旅游与文化产业的飞速发展,政府提出打造安龙“历史之城”“文化之城”“旅游之城”“休闲之城”“生态之城”的五城目标。安龙县历史文化底蕴深厚,自然景观绮丽多姿,民族风情丰富多彩,在发展旅游和文化产业方面有着自身独特的优势。国家政策的支持、旅游产业的飞速发展和国际生态文明论坛的落户为安龙提供了发展机遇,然而,经济始终是制约该县旅游与文化产业发展的最关键因素。安龙县要实现发展,必须创造产品发展的特色之路;要紧紧抓住加快发展旅游业的机遇,就得在增长方式转变上狠下工夫;要增强竞争力,就必须抓特色、树品牌、建体系。
