在科学技术飞速发展的今天,考古学已经不是传统意义上的人文学科,它正逐渐演变成一个以人文科学研究为目的、以自然科学研究方法与技术为手段的交叉性学科。能否更加广泛、有效地在考古学研究中运用自然科学研究方法,已经成为21世纪衡量一个国家考古学研究水平的极为重要的标尺。中国社会科学院考古所考古科技实验研究中心于1996年被中国社会科学院确定为50个重点扶植学科之一,2002年又被中国社会科学院确定为6个重点研究室之一。8年过去,考古科技中心把自然科学技术应用于考古学研究领域,在创建当代科技考古这一新的研究领域方面,取得了长足进步。最近,本刊特约记者黄英对该中心主任袁靖研究员进行了专访。
Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology, archeology is no longer a traditional humanistic discipline. It is gradually becoming an interdisciplinary subject that aims at the study of humanities and uses the methods and techniques of natural science. Whether we can use natural science research methods more extensively and effectively in archeological research has become an extremely important criterion for measuring the research level of a country’s archeology in the 21st century. Archaeological Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences Archeology Laboratory of Experimental Research Center in 1996 by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences identified as one of 50 key disciplines, in 2002 by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences identified as one of six key laboratories. In the past eight years, the Center for Archeology has applied natural science and technology to the field of archeology and has made great strides in creating a new area of contemporary scientific archeology. Recently, our correspondent Huang Ying conducted an interview with researcher Yuan Jing, the director of the center.
