以6×8cm2的Er3+/Yb3+共掺铝锗酸盐玻璃作为光波导基底材料,设计出S型,U型和F型三种平面光波导.通过光束传播法对所设计的波导进行仿真模拟运算,S型、U型和F型三种结构波导在1528~1559nm范围内获得有效内增益,计算出其最大内增益分别为7.27、14.06和22.55dB,分别比直波导(6.42dB)高0.85、7.64和16.13dB.研究表明合理的波导结构设计可以保证在较小尺寸的基片上获得较高的信号增益.
Three kinds of planar optical waveguides, S-type, U-type and F-type, were designed with 6 × 8cm2 Er3 + / Yb3 + co-doped aluminate-germanate glass as the optical waveguide base material. The designed waveguides were simulated by the beam propagation method , S-type, U-type and F-type structured waveguides gain effective internal gain in the range of 1528-1559nm, and calculate the maximum internal gain of 7.27, 14.06 and 22.55dB respectively, which are respectively 0.85 and 6.45dB higher than that of the straight waveguide (6.42dB) 7.64 and 16.13dB.The research shows that reasonable design of waveguide structure can ensure higher signal gain on the smaller size substrate.
