Objective To study the change of pulmonary ventilation, pulse rate and oxygen saturation after pilot flight, and to provide objective physiological indexes for the validity and reliability of respiratory protection equipment in flight training. Methods Lung function parameters, pulse rate and oxygen saturation of 40 domestic fighter pilots were measured respectively 30 min before flight, 15 min after flight and 40 ground crew, and lung function parameters were compared between smokers and non-smokers. Results There was no significant difference in the pulmonary function index, pulse rate and oxygen saturation between pilots and ground crew before and after flight training, and the difference between the number of pilots and flight attendants. There was no significant difference between the pilots and the ground crew and the non-smoking group Significant difference. Conclusion The respiratory protective equipment in flight training is effective and reliable, and has no obvious effect on the pulmonary ventilation function, pulse rate and oxygen saturation of pilots. However, long-term heavy smoking will lead to the decrease of small airway function.
