As the important move of the new leader, “Put power in the cage” and “Fight the tiger flies with anti-corruption”, the Central Inspectorate has aroused widespread concern of Chinese and foreign media. As early as January 1996, the 6th Plenary Session of the 14th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection made a deployment of “selecting ministerial-level cadres to visit localities and departments”. In August 2003, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Central Organization Department formally set up a special patrolling and working organization. During the inspection of more than 10 years, a batch of “big tigers” such as Chen Liangyu and Hou Wujie have been uncovered. After the 18th CPC National Congress, the new ruling party gave full play to the role played by the inspection team to make it an effective weapon against corruption and formed a powerful psychological deterrent to potential “tigers” and “flies.”
