As an individual with independent thinking, translator’s subjectivity and subjectivity are reflected in the selection of source language and the development of translation strategies. This article discusses the translator’s subjectivity, compares Francis Bacon’s four typical versions of “reading”, analyzes the translator’s main factors such as personal experience, academic background, personality preferences, language skills, etc. Then it proves that translator’s subjectivity in translation can not but be restricted by his personal subject.
