力的平衡问题涉及受力分析、力的合成和分解、平行四边形定则、平衡条件、正交分解法等物理知识。解决力的平衡问题的方法有合成法、分解法、整体隔离法、正交分解法、力的三角形法、相似三角形法等。常用到三角函数、正弦定理或者余弦定理、相似三角形和极值等数学知识。在2016年高考全国卷中以不同的情境涉及单个物体、两个物体和三个物体的平衡问题的考题,既考查基础知识,又考查学生利用物理知识和数学知识处理综合问题的能力。
