2006年6月,记者得到《读者人文读本》版权之争诉讼案即将开庭的消息。对阵双方均为文化界的知名人士：一为《读者》杂志社社长彭长城,一为杂文作家苏中杰。12卷的《读者人文读本》,是由甘肃人民出版社于2004年8月隆重推出的一套丛书。它由广东认真企业下属的广东新星座音像制作有限公司作为投资方。经人推荐,杂文作家苏中杰担纲这套丛书的主编。经过一年多的呕心沥血,拨沙拣金,多达20卷本的人文读本终于出炉。然而,该丛书出版后,苏中杰发现,主编署名却是彭长城。
In June 2006, the reporter got the news of the forthcoming hearing of the lawsuit in the “Reader’s Humanity Reader” copyright dispute.
