积木式房屋是日本芝蒲工亚大学相田武文教授在七十年代首次提出来的。续过他长期的研究和实践,这种房屋已在日本陆续建造。相田的建筑观就是建筑的“游戏性”。他认为,尽管现代主义建筑在历史上有它的革命意义,但是随着社会的发展,其创新精神已逐步消失,原因是今日的社会已发展为消费社会。在消费社会里,建筑的任务就是要为人们带来欢乐,而游戏是达到欢乐的手段,欢乐是游戏的目的。现代主义建筑所忽视的正是建筑的这种“游戏性”。建筑不应仅仅满足于具体体现功能,而应把建筑看成是一种文化。它必然明确地刻印着作者的意图。对于这种意图,不管你主观上喜欢与否,都涉及“游戏性”问题。建筑是需要精密计算的,这也是建筑文化的一少方面。但是,即
Building blocks were first proposed in the 1970s by Professor Shimada Aida of Shibuya University in Japan. After his long-term research and practice, this kind of house has been built in Japan.
